Downtown

Ill-fated animated series from MTV that presents a collection of late-90’s slackers in various stages of disillusionment and unemployment. Though the series enjoyed a small and adamant fan base, MTV was unenthused about the show’s possibilities and gave it the boot with nary a fair shot. At least as interesting as their longtime hit Daria, Downtown may not have been the most original look at sarcastically disenfranchised teens, but it was a curiosity they weren’t willing to fiddle around with very much. Hence it vanished.
