Filmed on the grounds of an actual abandoned facility for the mentally infirm, the splatter-happy slasher spoof Doom Asylum (1987) tells the story of a group of teenagers who invade an old sanitarium only to fall victim to a psychotic and disfigured recluse who has been hiding there for the past ten years following a tragic accident. And he definitely doesn’t welcome any visitors.
