Denise Du Vall was a stripper during the swinging 60s, and her eye catching talents were so colossal that they got preserved on film for all to see for years to come. She first showed up doing a tamer dance number than her usual topless act in one of Russ Meyer’s earlier documentaries, Europe in the Raw (1963). A few years later when Meyer felt that he had to make a newer stripper doc, this time called Mondo Toples (1966), he remembered Denise and caught her in her prime element. With the camera focused on her perfectly formed perky jugs, Denise sits and builds pressure with a fuzzy white muff in her lap. She follows up by doing a few movements for Russ’s unique angle work. Like many of the girls in Meyer’s reservoir of women, she’s one worth revisiting time and time again.
