Dead Line (2005)

Made in Argentina, the English-language horror flick Dead Line (2005) puts the screws to a voyeuristic snooper who unexpectedly oversteps his bounds. Andres Bagg stars as Martin, a curious loner who enjoys listening in on the conversations of strangers. When he begins observing a neighbor in his building, Martin comes to the shocking discovery that the man’s a serial killer--one who’s well aware that he’s being monitored. Sergio Esquenazi’s film quickly transforms into a chilling cat-and-mouse game in which the hunter and hunted swap roles. Esquenazi also takes care to treat viewers to a titillating and suspenseful scene in which a victim, played by Jackie Bousquet, gives it up for some hot lovin’, unaware that her new flame likes to finish with a blow to the skull.
