Dead and Deader (2006)

Dean Cain is dead, Dean Cain is risen, Dean Cain will live again! As Zombieman! Dean's the sole survivor of a group of Special Forces soldiers who have a bit of a scrape with some flesh-munching types--but when he comes to, he realizes that he bit off way more than he can chew, because he's not in a hospital bed . . . he's in an autopsy bay! Seems that Dean bit the big one! That's the come-on for Dead and Deader (2006), a zombie romp in the same undead vein as Shaun of the Dead (2004) and the many, many zombedies it spawned. Not-Dead Dean discovers that what he now lacks in heartbeat, pulse, and body heat he makes up for in strength, a healing factor, and a mean hunger for human meat. But he's not one to get downbeat, so he takes his new hunger for hide in stride, deciding to side with the good guys and use his new zombie-bilities to hunt his own kind. He's flanked by Guy Torry as a wisecracking Army cook and sultry Susan Ward as a slammin' film fan with tongue-in-cheek dialogue and jugs to wake the dead.
