Twelve years after Tyler Perry unsuccessfully took on author James Patterson’s best-selling forensic psychologist/detective, Aldis Hodge slips into the role for an Amazon original series that finds Cross at the moment his wife Maria (Chaunteé Schuler Irving) is shot and killed. Flashing forward to a year later, Alex is still dealing with her death but throwing himself into his kids and his work. He’s tracking the killer of Black Lives Matter activist Emir Goodspeed (Donovan Brown) who it turns out has more targets in mind. At the same time, he’s being stalked by a hidden someone seemingly involved in his wife’s murder. He still finds time to take on a new love interest in Samantha Walkes’ Elle Monteiro, and in Episode Four he opens her robe and reveals her rack while they make love. Then in the sixth episode, we see Alona Tal topless as FBI agent Kayla Craig, who tumbles into the sack with his partner John Sampson (Isaiah Mustafa). We’ve done the research and this is by far, the most booby-filled James Patterson adaptation yet!
