Buddies (1983)

Two miners with a low-tech operation are threatened by a better-equipped claim operator in Buddies (1983). Mike (Colin Friels) and Johnny (Harold Hopkins) work in the gem fields of central Queensland, using picks and shovels to ply their trade. A rival miner, Andy (Dennis Miller), is looking to lay claim to unmined territory in the region using dirty tactics and a large-scale bulldozer. The buddies will do everything in their power to drive Andy out, mostly through a series of comical revenge schemes.Speaking of gems, Kris McQuade shows off her diamond tips for this flick playing the outback love interest.
