Black Widow (2021)

A full decade after joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Iron Man 2 (2010), Scarlett Johansson's Natasha Romanoff gets her own solo comic book movie outing with Black Widow (2021)! Set between the events of Captain America: Civil War (2016) and Avengers: Infinity War (2018), the film finally fills in a lot of the blanks left in Natasha's past during her decade-long run in the MCU. The film also brings a number of Marvel comic book characters into the MCU for the very first time, including Natasha's "sister" and fellow victim of the assassin training camp known as the Red Room, Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh). Also along for the ride are their parental figures Alexei Shostakov (David Harbour), aka Red Guardian—Russia's answer to Captain America—and their Melina Vostokoff (Rachel Weisz). This dysfunctional family unites for the first time in over a decade to aid Natasha's mission to release the other victims of the Red Room protocol from their mind control. Standing in their way is a new villainous threat known as The Taskmaster, a seemingly unstoppable killing machine whose special ability is to mimic the fighting style of others, including Natasha herself! With a female director flying solo at the helm of a Marvel movie for the first time, it's going to be more than a little disappointing to know that the male gaze perpetually on the sexy Scarlett Johansson is more or less gone from this film. There's a couple of hints of cleavage from the busty star, along with a nice look at her ass in a tight pair of pants, but that's about it!
