Black Beach (2020)

Black Beach (2020) might sound like a comedy follow-up to Soul Plane, but this intense thriller is anything but a rollicking good time at the beach! No, the black in Black Beach refers to oil, which is at the heart of the conflict in the film! Carlos (Raúl Arévalo), a Spanish CEO working for an American oil company in Brussels, has dreams of one day moving with his pregnant wife Susan (Melina Matthews) to work in America. However, his plans are thrown for a loop when the company assigns him to travel to a remote African island where he used to work to negotiate the release of an American engineer who was taken hostage while doing illegal work for the company. Knowing that Carlos has ties to the warlord holding the engineer hostage, the company hopes he can be in and out with the prospect of relocating to America once the job is successfully completed! Of course, nothing goes according to plan, especially once Carlos finds out that his ex Ada (Aída Wellgaye) is now the lover of this warlord. With the American dream having never been so close before, Carlos may now helplessly have to watch it slip away! While this isn't exactly what we'd call a "sexy" movie, there is a nude scene in the film's final moments! Carlos returns to his pregnant wife, played by Melina Matthews, who is sitting in a bathtub with her bare breasts and pregnant belly visible above the milky water! Too bad he didn't take her to Black Beach... we hear there's a nudist section!
