Born and raised in Montreal, Canada, Ayisha Issa is a bilingual beauty who has worked in both English-language projects as well as French-language ones. She’s also a kick-ass beauty—literally. She holds a Brazilian Top Team Brown Belt and a Blue Belt from the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation World Championships, and has continued to train and compete even while pursuing a career in acting. Her athletic background helped land her first big role as a high priestess in the film Immortals (2011) with Mickey Rourke and Henry Cavill, and she went on to play an athletic woman in Warm Bodies (2013) with Nicholas Hoult and John Malkovich. In 2016, she landed the part of Rayzah in the movie Brick Mansions (2014), a film written by Luc Besson and starring Paul Walker and RZA. In the flick, she combines both her acting and fighting skills, and shows off some major-league cleavage while having a girl-on-girl fight—her cups runneth over, but don’t quite empty out. Elsewhere in movies, Ayisha is fully clothed as Ophelia Troller in The Hummingbird Projectwith Jesse Eisenberg, Alexander Skarsgård, and Salma Hayek; and Jazmin in the Netflix movie Polar (2019) with Vanessa Hudgens. The dark-haired, mocha-skinned hottie has also conquered Canadian TV, playing the part of Bouba in the French-language Unité 9 from 2013-2017, earning a Pri Gemeaux nomination and win for her role; and as Dr. June Curtis in Transplant in 2020. US television audiences can see her on the SyFy channel as Emissary in the series 12 Monkeys in 2016, and as Solar Shockley in Dark Matter in 2017.
