Agatha All Along (2024)

In the Disney Marvel series WandaVision, we saw that Elizabeth Olsen’s grieving Wanda Maximoff created the illusion of a TV trope-heavy life with her dead love Vision (Paul Bettany) within the confines of a suburb called Westview. One of the residents of the picturesque hamlet turned out to be Agatha Harkness (Kathryn Hahn), a witch from waaay back - the Salem Witch trials - who had an insatiable desire to steal Wanda’s power and one of the catchiest theme songs of all time. At the end of the series, Wanda is able to defeat Agatha by using dark magic to trap her inside the character of small-town gossip “Agnes” forever. The new spinoff series Agatha All Along finds “Agnes” three years later, now using her penchant for nosiness to try and solve a local murder as a Mare of Easttown-like, gruff, donut-eating detective. But during her sleuthing, she's paired up with a Fed who in reality is a witch from her past with an axe to grind named Rio (Aubrey Plaza), while also introduced to an unnamed teen (Joe Locke) who wants her help. This ends up pulling her out of Wanda's spell and back into the real Westview, and the realization that her powers are gone. In order to get them back and avoid a confrontation with the vengeful Salem Seven, she has to assemble a coven and embark on a journey down the Witches’ Road, but not before flashing her bare ass on the street where she lives. We love a witch without a stitch!
