The origins of sin are explored with a devilish attention to details in the Mexican sexploitation film Adán y Eva (1956). Carlos Baena and Christiane Martel are the only actors who appear in this splashy and microscopically low-budget Biblical drama that covers the first three chapters of Genesis. For those who haven’t been to Sunday school in awhile, those are the chapters that tell of Adam and Eve’s scandalous fall from grace. Although the film was produced in the modest 1950s, Martel doesn’t bother much to adjust her fig leaves. The buxom brunette shows plenty of unrepentant skin before sinking her teeth into the forbidden fruit.
