À l'aventure (2009)

Sometimes the stories behind the scenes are just as dramatic as what’s being shown on screen. Such is the case for French filmmaker Jean-Claude Brisseau. Before being given the France Culture Award at the Cannes Film Festival in 2003, the writer and director was arrested when three women accused him of manipulating them into performing lewd acts on camera. After being found guilty of sexual harassment, Brisseau was fined and given a suspended prison sentence for one year. By 2019, he passed away but left behind the erotic dramas Secret Things (aka Choses Secrètes) from 2002; The Exterminating Angels (aka Les Anges exterminateurs) from 2006; and To the adventure (aka À l’aventure) from 2009. The latter flick features Carole Brana as the sexually adventurous heroine Sandrine. Throughout the course of the movie, Mademoiselle Brana sheds her threads so her character can do a dude in bed. While having sex, she shows off her breasts at the 6- and 16-minute marks. If that’s not arousing enough, the brunette babe gives us views of her boobs and pubes when she hooks up with two spectacularly hot lesbians: Sophie (Lise Bellynck) and Mina (Nadia Chibani) who thinks she was once a Flemish nun in the 15th century. Is that why Mina’s so good at kneeling and pleasing others? Indeed, she and Sophie make the time to get it on with each other. Vive les femmes de France! Oh yeah, this foreign-language film isn’t in English yet none of the sex scenes get lost in translation!
