The 2021 Emmy Award Winners have been announced and we'd like to congratulate all the winners on their new hardware on the mantle! The legendary Kate Winslet won Lead Actress in a Limited or Anthology series for her titular role in Mare of Easttown. Gillian Anderson won Outstanding Supporting Actress as Margaret Thatcher on The Crown but we doubt the Prime Minister was ever naked, so we have to go back to Closure (2007) to get our "closure" with Gillian. Julianne Nicholson won a supporting Emmy for Mare of Easttown as well, and she lost her jammies in Flannel Pajamas (2005) over 15 years ago! The marvelous Michaela Coel took home an Emmy for her writing on the series she stars as well with I May Destroy You. Yolanda Kettle and the rest of the cast of The Crown should be proud because the series won about every award it was up for, including Outstanding Drama Series, especially Olivia Colman who won for Best Lead Actress and she'll definitely help you throw some "Confetti" (2006), with her full frontal foray in the aptly titled comedy. Saturday Night Live won another Emmy for Outstanding Variety Sketch Series, so let's not forget Miley Cyrus' legendary nip slip! Another comedy legend, Jean Smart, took home Outstanding Lead in a Comedy Series in Hacks, probably partly for her dreamland make out session with co-star, Hannah Einbinder! Ted Lasso won for Best Comedy Series because of the sexy and hilarious BFF relationship of Juno Temple and Hannah Waddingham, the latter of which won for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series! While Anya Taylor-Joy lost out on her Lead Actress Emmy to Kate Winslet, The Queen's Gambit still won for Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series! Now let's get the champagne popping and your pants dropping to these award winners!
