Ya burst onto the Skinematic Scene in her native Georgia (The former Soviet Socialist Republic, not the Peach State, fellers…) in 1982 when she landed a part in Gzis dasatskisi. Until the late-1980s, Ya spent the better part of her time close to home, appearing in such notable titles as Pesvebi, Chronicles of Satan Jr. and Filip Traum, placing her high in the running for Most Notable Actress Georgia-Wide. And no, that’s not all that dubious of an honor…Some Americans may recognize Ya as “The Virgin Mother” in the docu-spoof The Making of “…And God Spoke” in 1993. Then again, maybe not; the movie made a whopping $62,000 at the box office… Still, Ya made it a bit closer to us than she had in the past! Until she makes that leap of faith into American Skinema once and for all, we’ll all just have to admire her beauty from afar. That is, if we can find a copy of 2000’s Georgische Trauben… Ms. Parulava finally bared her impressive boobs in that little production, much to our collective delight… Oh Ya!
