Xtreme (2021)

How extreme is the movie Xtreme (2021)? It's so extreme, it scared away the first E in the word! This Spanish thriller, available in North America via Netflix, is centered around that greatest of dishes that is best served cold... revenge. Actually, hang on... XTREME REVENGE! That's better and much more on brand for this particular film. Maximo, or Max for short—played by stuntman turned actor Teo García, who also conceived the story—is a ruthless hitman who is now retired after spending years working for one of the biggest crime bosses in Spain. Max is not your average "happy in his retirement" kind of guy though as he has spent the first two years of his retirement crafting an elaborate revenge operation against the man who murdered both Max's son and his father, his own brother Lucero (Óscar Jaenada). Working with his sister Juana (Llum Barrera) and a plucky and resourceful teen named María (Andrea Duro) who wants to learn the tricks of the trade before Max rides off into the sunset. It's a plan so crazy, yet so meticulously planned and conceived, that it's bound to succeed, so long as it doesn't get any more people that Max cares about killed! We would love to tell you that the grumpy Max eventually beds the beautiful Andrea Duro, but alas she manages to remain covered up the entire film. Even when she ditches her towel to take a shower, the door is frosted glass! Still, one look at Andrea's killer figure and you're bound to be taking your own pleasure to the XTREME!
