Bussum-born Thekla Reuten is one Dutch treat! Just check out the film Het 14e kippetje (1998) and you’ll see what we mean. In between the TV shows Wij, Alexander (1998) and De Acteurs (2001), the delicate-breasted brunette made the Oscar-nominated movie Everybody’s Famous (2000) wherein she cuts a guy’s hair—while in the buff! Even though the Netherlands satire doesn’t show her nether regions, we get a great view of her Vaalserberg peaks! A turn in the war drama Twin Sisters (2002) followed, as did a gust of wind that accounts for a skintastic up-dress shot. Ms. Reuten then played alongside George Clooney in another war drama, The American (2002), before appearing in the dark comedy Ober (2006). The film’s translation is “Waiter” which is apropos since this foreign dish serves up her usual round of sex appeal. Although the movie won two Golden Calves (sounds like an award we should give out), Thekla didn’t catch America’s attention until she landed the role of ex-hooker Mina van der Hulst on the Showtime series Sleeper Cell (2005-2006). The pretty performer could also be seen on the fourth season of the ABC hit Lost (2008) and heard in animated films, from Shark Tale (2004) to How to Train Your Dragon (2014). In addition to appearing on the big screen in the thrillers In Bruges (2008) and Red Sparrow (2018), she stars on the small screen in Netflix’s fantasy series Warrior Nun (2020). As CEO of ARQ-Tech Jillian Salvius, the brainy beauty makes an important discovery. We have too—and it’s Thekla Reuten!
