The Shards (2026)

Based on Bret Easton Ellis’ 2023 metafiction of the same name, The Shards takes place in 1981 when the author (played by Igby Rigney) is a senior attending the preppy Buckley School in Los Angeles. He’s popular, has a close-knit group of friends made up of his girlfriend Debbie (Hayes Warner), his bestie Susan (Kaia Gerber), and her boyfriend Thom (Graham Campbell), but he’s also in the closet and having secret flings with fellow classmates Matt (Owen Painter) and Ryan (Daniel Dale). Oh, and there’s a serial killer on the loose known as The Trawler. But the real shake-up happens when new student Robert (Homer Gere) shows up acting all suspicious, like he also has things he’s hiding. No series about rich teens is complete without a hot tub party, and this one features Kaia and nudecomer Hayes in skimpy bikinis. Hayes also dons some sexy lingerie in her opulent bedroom, but so far there isn’t a shard of nudity, so hopefully that changes!
