The Office

In the hands of hams like Stephen Merchant and Ricky Gervais, the drudgery of daily life makes for sublime comedy, and their sad, silly, spectacularly witty series The Office shows just how amusing misery can be. Ricky stars as David Brent, an oafish office manager so desperate to be loved by everyone that he'll sell out absolutely anyone. This makes life at Wernam-Hogg paper company's Slough branch totally blow, and the only thing keeping salesman Martin Freeman and his luscious crush Lucy Davis from blowing their brains out is fruitless flirtation and epic time-wasting. Oh, and they like to screw with Mackenzie Crook too—he's Ricky's hugely clueless lackey, and he makes the hours move even more slowly. If it weren't for the hilarity, The Office would be a modern-day tragedy. Not that the spectacularly juicy Lucy, bratty beauty Sally Bretton, racy Stacey Roca, and stunning Stirling Gallacher hurt things either. In fact, if we worked at Wernam-Hogg, every day would be payday (on the hot-love highway).
