The Outcast (2015)

The BBC's miniseries The Outcast (2011) is an adaptation of Sadie Jones' novel about a newly released nineteen-year-old inmate, Lewis Aldridge, who in 1957, returns to Waterford, a suburban town outside London, where he is rejected by a tight-knit community who favored his father's war heroics and traditional values to his less accessible demeanor. But despite being branded an unwelcome outsider, Lewis finds solace and acceptance in the form of a sympathetic young woman named Kit, who seems to understand and even relate to his unending grief and unbridled rage. In the eight episode series, the first showcases actress Leanne Best shacking up with her fella, revealing some primo side boob action and quite possibly tape over her areola in what may be a production slip instead of a nip slip. Still not a bad display for a historical drama on the BBC. Maybe the best has yet to come for the lovely Leanne.
