The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power (2022)

It's been over twenty years since Peter Jackson first took us to Middle Earth in live action form and the time was ripe for a new journey to J.R.R. Tolkien's fictional realm with the Amazon Prime Original Series The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, which debuted on the streaming service on Labor Day weekend, 2022. Set many centuries before the events of both The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, this series pulls from various appendices and other writings of Tolkien's to better fill out the world. There are plenty of familiar names here, all of them with new faces, like elven royal family members Galadriel (Morfydd Clark), Elrond (Robert Aramayo), and Gil-galad (Benjamin Walker), future king Aragorn's ancestor Isildur (Maxim Baldry), dwarven king Durin III (Peter Mullan), and even a race that will eventually evolve into the hobbits we all know and love! Sadly the show didn't bust out any nudity in its first season, though we did get some sexy see-through action from Morfydd Clark! Much like the genre itself, you'll have to rely on a little fantasy if you want to see these characters in the altogether!
