Snowfall (2017-2021)

FX continued its basic cable boundary-pushing trend with the crack cocaine drama Snowfall, which debuted in the summer of 2017. Created by John Singleton, the Oscar-nominated director of Boyz N The Hood (1991), the show follows the startling rise of the crack cocaine epidemic in Southern California in the early 80s, from three unique perspectives. First, there's Franklin Saint (Damson Idris), a young black kid living in South Central LA that goes from selling marijuana to slinging cocaine when he realizes how much more lucrative it is. Next, there's Teddy McDonald (Carter Hudson), a CIA agent stuck in the middle of what will become the Iran-Contra scandal. And lastly there's Lucia (Emily Rios), the daughter of a cartel leader who is looking to make her mark in the family business. Part of the reason the show skews far more "adult" than a lot of FX's other programming is that the series was originally developed at Showtime, but they got cold feet and it ended up on FX. No, there's not the same amount of showing as if it'd been on Showtime, but there's some good stuff. The series got off to a skinsational start as our main characters make their way through a house where several porns are being produced. In the pilot episode alone we get bare buns from both Dorothy Dove Peterson and Catherine Chen, lots of bikinied babes including Becky O'Donohue, Taylor Kowald, and a crazy scene where Catherine blows blow up a guy's butt! Powder pegging! Later we'll see Gail Bean's buns, a panty-less (from behind) Brittany Panzer, some beaming nips from Angela Lewis as she gets railed before a drug bust right before the dude busts, and a whole lot more! With all sorts of ass action on the show, that's the kind of crack we've been addicted to since watching Snowfall!
