The Last Faust (2019)

A modern take on a classic, but this version is bound to melt your brain a bit with trippy and mind-bending visual interpretations of the fable based on the life of Dr. Johann Georg Faust.  Just like the original, The Last Faust follows Dr. Faust, the wildly successful doctor who is now so dissatisfied with his life and accomplishments, that he must push his work and goals even further, so he makes a pact with The Devil himself, Mephisto, exchanging his immortal soul for unlimited knowledge and all the worldly pleasures he desires!  Well, this modern interpretation of the fable makes a few spins on the classic, setting it in the not so distant future and Faust's new goal is to create the ultimate and first ever super human, but the prose and characters all stay pretty much the same.  As the storyteller, Dr. Goodfellow (Steven Berkoff) tells the tale of the doomed doctor, we delve into the madness of a fable stretching between staged ballet homages to the classic, to nightclubs in Berlin where the leather clad doctor and his assistant dip into the sins of the flesh time and time again!  Lucky for us though, this modern twist doesn't shy away from the hedonistic sexiness that was always implied in the OG version of Faust, and instead puts it on full display for us!  We get to see the insanely sexy Isabella Bliss as Angel, Galatea, with her giant cans bursting out onto the screen.  We also get to see the story lines of Gretchen (Yvonne Mai) and Helena (Scarlett Mellish Wilson) unfold in all their sexy glory.  We'd likely sell our soul for a bit more nudity from all three of these scintillating screen sirens!  Where is Mephisto when you need him?
