star-crossed: the film (2021) is an album film by country songstress Kacey Musgraves. The film debuted on Paramount+ which is powerful, fashionable, and filled with good music. Kacey's new venture gets more real than anything that she has done in the past and it goes further than just her normal albums. She wrote this album in the middle of her divorce, so this is a confessional film and album about love and loss and the journey to self-discovery after separation from a marriage. Directed by Bardia Zeinali, this colorful film explores those themes and so much more as she tells the story of her journey. She explained that that is why she did not want to just release one music video. You watch that and you move on. She wanted to tell us this visual story and she does it well in her sexy costumes. She shows major cleavage in a silver corset and again in a scene where she is joined by drag queen Symone and actress Victoria Pedretti and rapper Princess Nokia as they all dress up like Clueless stars to rob a store. They all look sexy in their mini-skirts and cleavage-baring tops. Kacey goes above and beyond in another scene where she wears a white dress that is nearly see-through.
