She took classes at Stella Adler Studio of Acting in New York at age 17 and performed in several stage plays while in the Big Apple. Two years earlier, Sofia made her acting de-butt in a Mexican film called Women In The Act (2006). She's gone on to appear in many Mexican productions as well as El Gringo (2012), Elysium (2013) and Gossip Girl: Acapulco.
