Shallow Hal (2001)

Gross-out kings The Farrelly Brothers try their hand at romantic comedy in Shallow Hal (2001). Young Hal (Jack Black) took his dad’s (Bruce McGill) deathbed advice to only bang hot chicks very, very seriously, but since Hal is no prize himself he gets shot down quicker than a glass of whiskey in the bars he frequents. After a chance meeting with self-help guru Tony Robbins (playing himself) in an elevator, Robbins puts a hypnotic suggestion on Hal that allows him see people only as they are on the inside, rather than outside. Soon Hal is having unprecedented success with “beautiful on the inside” only ladies and falls for the 300-lb Rosemary (Gwyneth Paltrow), whose inner self is svelte and nubile. Unfortunately his equally shallow friend, Mauricio Wilson (Jason Alexander), is determined to fix Hal’s happy delusion. No nudity in this PG-13 flick, but the massively stacked Susan Ward does show off her pokies in a thin white tank top at the 55-minute mark. Star Gwyneth Paltrow gives a good look at her petite posterior in black booty shorts and later in a tiny purple thong, plus a look at her waify form in a skimpy bikini. This skinny chick will give you a fatty!
