Shahmaran (2023)

Sashu (Serenay Sarikaya) is a Ph D candidate from Istanbul on her way to give a guest lecture at a university in Adana. She takes a detour to the country so she can confront her maternal grandfather Davut (Mustafa Ugurlu) on behalf of her now dead mother who he had abandoned years earlier. It also happens to be time of an annual festival in the area, which is surrounded by the folklore of a mythic half human- half snake creature while her grandfather’s neighbor Maran (Burak Deniz) and his family are big believers in an ancient prophecy that says he and Sashu are destined to be together. That might be our favorite pick up line ever, and we’d probably be inclined to use it too if we saw Serenay splashing around in a see-through dress in a lake. We get an even better look at her Turkish tatas in visions she has of being naked on a marble slab with snakes. Your own anaconda will be mighty fond-a of Serenay!
