Sacrifice of the White Goddess (1995)

Sacrifice of the White Goddess (1995) is the low-budget tale of down-on-her-luck co-ed Francine Chevalier and her search for a fabled Mayan city of gold. Hungry for adventure, Fran reads about this mythical richville in a textbook, then speedily dumps her man and heads down Mexico way. Hey, it's better than an internship! Once she's made it below the border, Fran meets up with luscious wanderer Lisa Beavers and scoundrel Steve McKinney, a nogoodnik who peddles endangered tropical birds. This B-grade threesome gets their mitts on a treasure map, downs a few beers, and then sallies forth into the jungle in search of a gilded new world. What they find instead is less than golden, though, and soon they're in way too deep, fighting for their lives deep in a bad-juju jungle. Sacrifice of the White Goddess is part of the "White Slave Collection" DVD, so you can imagine the kind of bind Fran ends up in.
