You know British actress Priya Blackburn best because she played a real-live person, Freddie Mercury’s sister, Kashmira Bulsara, in the Oscar-winning biopic Bohemian Rhapsody (2018). Besides getting to hang out with cool co-stars like Rami Malek and Lucy Boynton, she also got to listen to a lot of Queen music. We were first introduced to this brunette beauty, though, as Jenna in short film Pulling (2017), where she shared a chaste kiss with another girl, sparking our imaginations and leaving us wanting so much more. After her bigBohemian film work, the London-born babe hit the little screen to play the part of Meera in the television series Get Even in 2020, about teenage girls at an elite private school who form a secret society to out nasty bullies. It’s a BBC and Netflix production, which us stateside folks can catch on the big N streaming service. Priya also did a few pop-ups on UK TV in 2020, playing a teenage Naomi in I Hate Suzie with Billie Piper (HBO aired the series, too), and a couple of episodes of Doctors as PC Rebecca Davies. Back on the indie, short film scene where she started her acting journey, the 5’7” graduate of King’s College London switched out the tiny roles for leading parts as Lucy in the drama Smudged Smile (2021) and as the Solidago member in the dramaSolidago (2022).
