Review

mittendrin is the second “green” Peter Lustig show after the highly acclaimed Löwenzahnseries. Both have the intention to educate kids by way of humorous approaches to environmental issues. What separates them from each other is that Löwenzahn was aimed at a very young target audience while mittendrin is intended for children aged ten and older. It regularly features Lustig going to some sort of location and informing his viewers what it is all about. Thus one episode was shot in a nuclear power station while another one took place in a waste disposal factory. Further topics included forests, alternative energies, farming, sewage, and flowers. This is doubtlessly perfect entertainment for kids, full of information, but is still presented in a colorfully non-preaching manner. No wonder that mittendrin won theProfessional Jury Golden Sparrow for best documentary/magazine at the 1997 German Children's Film & TV-Festival. Highly recommended.  Nudity Report: Sure, of course, all the time! Are you kidding me? Nevertheless co-host Anja Franke has already had quite a skinful career. Check out the German in the 1989 flickRobbyKallePaul where she shows off every inch of her supple frame including several full-frontal fur burger shots. But the real treat comes when Anja bends over the edge of a tub and gives the world a great glimpse at her gaping greasebox. Do not miss this one!
