It’s unbelievable how appreciated Merritt Wever is as an actress — especially for Unbelievable (2019). Her portrayal of Detective Duvall in the Netflix miniseries merited Merritt a Peabody award and a Golden Globe nomination. Of course, the talented starlet is no stranger to critical praise and industry accolades. Years after graduating from Sarah Lawrence College, she co-starred in the Academy Award-winning movie Birdman (2014). The pretty performer also popped up in the Oscar-nominated films Michael Clayton (2007) and Marriage Story (2019), for which she received the Robert Altman Award at the Independent Spirit ceremony. If that’s not impressive enough, Merritt took home two Primetime Emmys: one for playing Zoey Barkow in the Showtime dramedy Nurse Jackie (2009-2015) and another for her dyke-namic turn in Steven Soderbergh’s small screen western Godless (2017).
