Making your big screen debut in an Oscar-nominated film and then starring in your own series only two years later is an amazing feat, but maybe not too surprising for a graduate of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art like Máiréad. But that’s what the alluring Irish lass did after leaving Cork to train in London, after which she was seen in Kenneth Branagh’s 2021 black-and-white drama Belfast. After a brief appearance on the UK series Tell Me Everything, Máiréad landed the starring role of Jen, an ordinary young woman in a world of superpowered humans who’s still waiting for her gift to reveal itself in Hulu’s Extraordinary. In the comedy series, we get a few hints of skin, especially when she pops her top for some sexy selfies, but we know when Máiréad finally decides to go nude for real, it’ll be even more extraordinary!
