Lucy (2014)

No, the movie Lucy (2014) isn’t a biopic about I Love Lucy (1951-1957) legend and funny redhead Lucille Ball. It’s a science fiction action flick about a hot blonde (Scarlett Johansson) who is tricked by her boyfriend (Pilou Asbæk) into being a drug mule in Taiwan. Looks like this guy has “some splainin’” to do! Yet when the eponymous heroine finds herself in the middle of a serious deal gone wrong, she instinctively turns the tables on those who sought to entrap her by unleashing superhuman powers on them. Apparently, Lucy has heightened physical and mental abilities yet also can disintegrate from a sip of champagne. Well, that kills any fantasies we had about spending New Year’s Eve with the skintastic starlet. As Lucy researches her condition, she encounters Professor Samuel Norman (Morgan Freeman) and French police officer Amr Waked (Pierre Del Rio). Not to be confused with the German drama Lucy (2006), this story features a Korean drug lord (Choi Min-sik) and Lucy’s sexy roommate (Lio Tipton). Also credited as Analeigh Tipton, the latter actress looks alluring when flaunting her fine figure in various states of undress around the apartment. Thanks to the writing and direction of Luc Besson, the R-rated movie includes a down-blouse view of Ms. Johansson’s ample cleavage. If that’s not titillating enough the skintastic starlet rocks a black brassiere in bed. In other words: while the complex plot keeps you on the edge of your seat, Scarlett will keep your Johansson at the top of your jeans!
