Tall, blonde, blue-eyed Laura Dern is a gangly dream come true for girl-next-door connoisseurs everywhere. Her parents, Bruce Dern and Diane Ladd, are both successful actors, and she wasted no time following in their footsteps. Her first major role was in 1981's Foxes, and she first garnered mainstream attention as blind bombshell Diana Adams in Mask (1985). Afterwards Dern joined the David Lynch whack pack in Blue Velvet (1986) and Wild at Heart (1990), making her nude debut in the latter. She also appeared in Lynch's mind- and dick-bending TV series Twin Peaks where she showed her own. She showed them previously in the 1991 drama Rambling Rose. A few years later big-breasted Laura became a big star thanks to the Steven Spielberg blockbuster Jurassic Park (1993). This didn't stop her from getting fully naked in the 1995 film Down Came a Blackbird. In 1997, Laura hit the small screen running with her Emmy-nominated portrayal of a lesbian on a landmark episode of the sitcom Ellen in which star rug-rubber Ellen DeGeneres finally came out of the closet. We don't blame her. Then, after a long Laura-free decade on the boob tube, she returned as misguided New Ager Amy Jellicoe on Enlightened (2011), receiving a Golden Globe for her efforts.
