Early in her life Lakshmi Menon knew she wanted to be an entertainer. When she was in eighth grade she was spotted by a film director who ended up giving her a part in his movie. She continued to act throughout high school and began modeling at the same time. After high school she went to college where she received a degree in Literature, but it was acting, modeling, and singing that really interested her so she threw herself into it full time and has become a very popular, award winning actress in her native India.
