Kitty, who is perhaps better known to Americans as the wife of Dire Straits guitarist Mark Knopfler, is actually quite the accomplished actress in Great Britain. However, she made her debut performance in the decidedly American film Marie in 1985, and has since appeared in such flicks as A Room with a View, Maurice, and Divorcing Jack, all of which found in the least some release in The States. Nevertheless, her fame lies in England where she has ruled the airwaves with such made-for-TV movies as The Ice House, To Play the King, and The World of Eddie Weary. Sadly, Kitty has only come close to nudity on screen, never quite giving up the proverbial goods entirely. However, for a nice look at her lingerie-clad body, check out the entirely stupid Slipstream from 1989. In it, Kitty and Bill Paxton get it on, although only he got to see what was hiding under all that lace. What a drag.
