Jasmine Cephas Jones is one Big Apple babe! Like Teddy bears, air conditioning and roller coasters, she hails from Brooklyn. Since her folks are actor Ron Cephas Jones and jazz singer Kim Lesley, it’s no surprise the aspiring starlet sought a career in the entertainment industry. After studying at Berklee College of Music and graduating from New York’s Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre, Jasmine originated the dual parts of Peggy Schuyler and Maria Reynolds in the original Off-Broadway version of the hip hop hit Hamilton in 2015. Her performance paid off with a Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album. In fact, she sang “America the Beautiful” with her Hamilton co-stars Renée Elise Goldsberry and Phillipa Soo at the 2017 Super Bowl. We always give Jasmine a standing ovation. By 2020, Ms. Jones reprised her roles for a filmed version of the Tony Award-winning play. The accomplished ingenue also appeared on the big screen in Noah Baumbach’s comedy Mistress America (2015) and his Oscar-nominated drama Marriage Story (2019). Over on the boob-tube, she was cast in guest spots on several shows, including the HBO dramedy Girls (2017). Ms. Jones also scored a recurring role on HBO’s Mrs. Fletcher (2019). As Chloe, the scantily-clad actress loses her top (as well as her bottoms) when she strips to her skivvies for a dude at a house party. We get to see the two dancing on the floor (but not in bed). Hopefully, Jasmine will reveal more of her skintastic self in the future!
