It’s a little know fact but this 1991 Brazilian TV series was actually the inspiration for America’s own Felicity. Translated in English as Happiness, the show enjoyed numerous spin-offs during its year on the air, including the award-winning O ouch, deixou para ir de meu penis (Ouch, Let Go Of my Penis), As galinhas necessitam o amor demasiado (Chickens Need Love Too) and Mate a criança desabrigada, mate-o bom! (Kill The Homeless Child, Kill Him Fast and Kil Him Good!). Starring Maitê Proença as Marietta The Proctologist, this seat-warming tale is told with courage, conviction and a sense of hope for all of us. All we are saying is give proctology a chance.
