In the Dutch comedy Feestje (2004), buddies Thijs (Antoine Kamerling) and Ben (Beau van Erven Dorens) are united in their aversion to marriage until the latter falls unexpectedly in love. Ben adds insult to injury by putting Thijs in charge of making preparations for his nuptials, but the thwarted pal rebels by using the money as collateral to finance a pub. When the shady dealing comes to light, the friends hash out questions of loyalty, fidelity, and friendship. Director Ruud van Hemert ensures that what Thijs lacks in maturity he more than makes up for in machismo. Throughout the course of the film farce, the Casanova bags bombshells such as Anna Drijver and Saskia Troccoli, who are more than forthcoming about showing off their tasty Dutch treats.
