As both a performer and writer, Doon Mackichan is one of the UK’s brightest comic talents. Fortunately, her abilities include some seriously sexy roles—they would have to, right? Since she’s heavily known for a show called Smack the Pony? But alas, there is no nudity in the sketch comedy show, which Doon has not only starred in, playing various characters from 1999-2017, but also wrote. While it premiered in the UK, US comedy fans may recall seeing episodes when Comedy Central picked it up. Now, her 1995 series Glam Metal Detectives is another story. She wrote it, and she acted in it—and one particular episode saw her frolicking in the ocean, bare breasts and ass soaking up the waves and filling our eyes with so much skin. The London-born brunette, who also spent time in Scotland, is a popular regular on UK sketch comedy shows, and has played various characters in random episodes on The Day Today in 1994; Knowing Me, Knowing You with Alan Partridge from 1994-1995; Brass Eye from 1997-2001; The Comic Strip Presents… from 1992-2005; and Psychobitches in 2014. She’s also snagged series leading roles as Kirsten in Beast from 2000-2001, Faith in Bedtime in 2002, Jane Thomason in Taking the Flak in 2009, Jane Plough in Toast of London from 2013-2015, Flavia in Plebs from 2013-2018, and Cathy in Two Doors Down from 2016-2020. Americans with an Amazon Prime subscription may also recall seeing delicious Doon in a few different roles, as the Archangel Michael in Good Omens in 2019, and Victoria in Flack in 2020, and those who use Netflix to watch and not just chill have seen her as Cheryl in The Duchess. Mr. Skin is sure there’s a pun somewhere on the name Doon, but he’s also sure Doon herself, being the funny lady she is, has already thought of and used it better than he ever could.
