Domina (2021-2023)

History buffs and Skin fanatics alike are going to love the series Domina, which debuted on Sky Atlantic in the summer of 2021! The series centers around the life and times of Livia Drusilla (Kasia Smutniak), the daughter of Roman Senator Marcus Livius Drusus Claudianus, who was destined for greatness at any cost. The series charts her first marriage in 43 BCE to Tiberius Claudius Nero (Enzo Cilenti), a marriage which produced two sons and famously ended in divorce when she was given the opportunity to marry future emperor Octavian (Matthew McNulty) just five years later. In 27 BCE, Octavian is granted the title Caesar Augustus and becomes Emperor of Rome, with Livia ascending to the position of Empress, where she proved herself an ambitious woman in the vein of Lady Macbeth or Cersei Lannister. Over the course of her reign—as well as the series' run—she worked behind the scenes to eliminate any possible competition to the throne, going so far as to poison Augustus' grandson Agrippa Postumus, the rightful heir to throne, convincing her easily manipulated husband to adopt her eldest son Tiberius and put him in line for the throne! The series got off to a slow start but finally got some skin in the game three episodes in with a raunchy sex scene! A pregnant Livia—Kasia Smutniak sported a prosthetic belly for the scene—bares her breasts while banging future husband Caesar Augustus, while being spied on by one of those classic Roman peeping Titus! A few more scenes like that and Domina might just Dominate your spank bank!
