Unelated to outspoken Public Enemy front man Chuck D, foxy Philadelphia native Debbie D has had fans powerless to stop staring since she began baring her 36½C-22½-34 body in low-budget horror and exploitation films, as well as making regular appearances at fan conventions since the early 1990s. Though they may be unaware that she began as a singer-songwriter named Debbie DePaul who was discovered while modelling for her record covers, horror fans have been desiring Debbie’s dimpled cheeks since she got her start in Burglar From Hell (1993). Unafraid of being typecast, Debbie never left the indie horror scene, starring in classic like Sorority Slaughter 2 (1996), Naked Horror (1995), Eaten Alive: A Tasteful Revenge (1999), Cannibal Sacrifice (2004) and the insanely titled Jesus Christ: Serial Rapist (2004). For a sense of the type of acting she likes to do, examine her work in the meta-horror flick Kill the Scream Queen (2004). She doesn't do Dallas, but Debbie does do full frontal as a torture victim, with nipple clamps on until some psycho takes her panties off in the midst of a classic villain soliloquy. In an even zanier torture scene, after taking a bullet to the vag, Debbi dies and we watch a demon shock her bare bush in Hell. No underwear in the underworld! Yet more full frontal torture came in Black Ribbon (2007) where she's kept naked in a cage and made to pee in a bucket. Luckily there's a good old shower scene in Sickened (2010). While she's still acting in movies like Horror Odyssey (2019) and Giftwrapped and Gutted (2019), many New Yorkers might best know Debbie as the "brown haired mermaid" at the annual Coney Island Mermaid Parade.
