China Moon (1994)

Hot on the trail of the crime thrillers Chinatown (1974) and China Dolls (1992) is the crime thriller China Moon (1994). Although the latter pic was shot in 1991, it was shelved for three years before it was released. Maybe that’s why the flick wastes no time in getting to the good stuff. Indeed, China Moon starts when kinky-haired Adele (Patricia Healy) peels off her silk skivvies. As the opening credits run, she bares her breasts while having sex just two minutes into the movie. Now, that’s what we call beginning with a bang! The plot follows detectives Kyle Bodine (Ed Harris) and Lamar Dickey (Benicio del Toro) as they investigate a murder. It doesn’t take long for femme fatale Rachel Munro (Madeline Stowe) to saunter onto the scene. Like the humid Florida atmosphere, she and Bodine begin a steamy affair before you can say “double indemnity.” As you may expect, it turns out that the turn-on is married to Rupert Munro (Charles Dance). To further complicate matters, Rachel’s hubby has a chubby as well as fists that beat her. When his corpse pops up, Bodine helps Rachel dispose of the body. Danger unfolds and Dickey winds up dead. Of course, your dicky will be alive and well while watching Ms. Stowe take a moonlit skinny dip. As the statuesque stunner doffs her duds for her dude, we are treated to views of her nude boobs and be-thonged buns. By the lustful look on Harris’s face, we’re guessing he feels no shrinkage!
