Biography

Brynda Mattox is an actress, producer, and a lifelong activist so smart she got a full academic scholarship to Kentucky's Transylvania University, and so progressive she marched with Martin Luther King Jr. in a successful effort to integrate it. After she got her undergraduate degree, she studied at Yale's divinity school, protested the war in Vietnam, and did all sorts of theater work in the New York area before making her big screen debut with an uncredited role in Coal Miner's Daughter (1980). Since she was so focused on her activism and stage work, Brynda's film and television work was rather sporadic throughout the eighties, and she only appeared onscreen once in the nineties on a 1992 episode of Hearts Are Wild. Her screen work was far more steady in the early 2000's when she played Auntie Joan in the horror flick that doesn't feature mad cowgirl, reverse or otherwise, Mad Cowgirl (2006), Mama Harris in the comedy about the famous Elvis is alive conspiracy, Memphis Rising: Elvis Returns (2011), Lia on Days of Our Lives and most interestingly, Marie in Documentary Now's "Kunuk Uncovered", a mockumentary spoof based on the famed documentary Nanook of the North (1922). Likely the high point of her career, in 2019 Brynda landed a recurring role on HBO's teen druggie drama Euphoria as Fezco's ailing grandmother he sells drugs to support. At one point on the show, she gets a sponge bath and we see her boobs which can give one a Euphoric feeling, no drugs necessary. You might think she's a little mature for your tastes, but we D.A.R.E. you to watch it and not get a boner! Most recently Brynda starred as Bobbie in the serial killer thriller Choke (2020). Super smart, super talented and super woke, Brynda Matttox talks the talk, walks the walk and pleases our cock.
