Talk about Brooklyn’s finest! The acclaimed period drama Brooklyn (2015) takes a look at the unique challenges immigrants to the United States faced in the 1950’s. The Irish-born Eilis Lacey (Saoirse Ronan) makes her way across the pond, only to find that she’s a stranger in a strange land. After starting out as a shrinking violet transplant, Lacey gains a sense of confidence and identity in Brooklyn with the help of friends, education, a job, and of course a boy toy. Family troubles back in Ireland force Eilis to quickly marry her beau before heading home. Will she return to be with the love of her life? And more importantly, when is Ronan gonna show us her boobs? In Brooklyn the blonde cutie sports an old timey bathing suit, and we’ll just have to imagine that at the time it was risqué!
