Black Snow (2023-2025)

The first season of this Australian neo noir series is set at a small town high school in North Queensland, Australia, 2019, where the opening of a time capsule prompts a new investigation into the 1994 murder of seventeen-year-old pastor’s daughter Isabel Baker (Talijah Blackman-Corowa). On the case is James Cormack (Travis Fimmel), a detective from Brisbane still haunted by the disappearance of his brother. He rejects the initial theory that a migrant worker killed Isabel and instead focuses on people in Isabel’s life, including the community’s most well-known figures. When season 2 comes along, James tackles a different cold case after serving a suspension for being a little too forceful during an arrest. He teams up with police officer Sam Kahlil (Megan Smart) to try and solve the mystery of Zoe Jacobs (Jana McKinnon), who has been missing for the last twenty years. Like Cormack with his brother, Zoe’s parents are convinced she is still alive and you’ll hope she is too when you see Jana flash her ass cheeks before going skinny dipping in the season premiere. The only thing we want to go missing is her clothes!
