Barrett Doss had an interesting childhood. She was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota to a white mother and black father. Her parents divorced when she was very young then she and her mom moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico where her mom met another woman and the two ended up getting married and raising Barrett together. After a short stop in Chicago, the family landed in New York where Barrett attended the Professional Children’s School in Manhattan. After graduation, she attended NYU’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study and began performing off-Broadway. She worked her way up through the regional theater circuit and made her Broadway debut opposite James Earl Jones and Rose Byrne in You Can’t Take It with You. Her TV debut came in an episode of the comedy 30 Rock and was quickly followed up by guest spots on several popular TV series. Her career took off when she landed a recurring role on Grey’s Anatomy and one of the leads on the TV series Station 19.
On Station 19, Ms. Doss plays a firefighter with a body so hot she could cause spontaneous combustion. We get a quick look at that body in the second season of the show when she wakes up in bed and hears the shower going in the bathroom. Quickly, the exotic hottie hops out of bed in just her bra and panties and pulls on her clothes. As she wiggles into her tight jeans, we get to soak in her even tighter body. With a career that is just starting to take off, we hope this sexy scene is a sign that she is going to be taking her clothes off as well!
