Alien: Earth (2025)

A companion series to the Alien franchise that takes place two years before the events of the first film, we first meet a crew of the Weyland-Yutani ship Maginot awakening from hyper sleep like we’ve seen in on the big screen, only this time it seems to be after the events of a brush with the Xenomorphs. They’ve completed their mission by gathering various alien specimens, including some face huggers, at the expense of some of their team members. They are heading back to Earth, where five tech companies vy for control of the continents and planets while trying to outdo each other when it comes to prolonging human life. One such company run by young trillionaire Boy Kavalier (Samuel Blenkin), Prodigy, seems to have figured out how to transfer the human consciousness into synthetic beings. Dying kids get turned into indestructible super adults, while back on the Maginot, the specimens have escaped and have killed everyone except a cyborg named Morrow (Babou Cessay), sending the ship crashing into Prodigy’s part of the Earth. Richa Shukla Moorjani, Karen Aldridge, and Victoria Masoma all sport the sexy gray tanks and undies Sigourney Weaver donned when we saw her pubes in 1986’s Aliens but they all seemed to have been well shorn before they were cryogenically frozen. The series is chock full of Peter Pan references, starting with the first episode “Neverland.” There may be Lost Boys on Earth but in space it's all about lost layers!
