Albane Navizet first appeared in cinema with a turn in 1968’s La Fille d’en face, but it wasn’t until a few years later when she appeared in the classic 1971 picture Road to Salina that the world would take notice of the young actress. The part led to a role in the equally notable Valparaiso, Valparaiso that same year, but Albane dropped off the face of the Earth shortly after its release. After four years in relative exile, she returned for a triumphant, titular turn in the classic soft-core flick The Story of O in 1975, marking not only her only appearance in the buff on-screen, but also her last cinematic outing. It’s a major bummer that she disappeared so soon after she embraced the world of gratuitous nudity, but the legacy that she left will never be forgotten.
