A Teacher (2020)

If you've seen the independent feature film A Teacher (2013), you're going to be experiencing a major sense of déjà vu as you hear about the details of the 2020 Hulu Original Series A Teacher. Kate Mara stars as the titular educator, Claire, a new teacher at a small town Texas high school. Claire is filled with a lot of regret for the various choices she made during her formative that have left her feeling increasingly alone in the world, most importantly, marrying her high school sweetheart. Their marriage isn't crumbling so much as it's just quietly turning transactional more than loving or caring. It tracks, then, that Claire would eventually find herself developing feelings for Eric (Nick Robinson), the proverbial big man on campus, captain of the soccer team, and honor student. When Eric comes to Claire to ask for help preparing for the upcoming SATs, the two begin growing closer, finding common ground, and making Claire question all of her life choices up to this moment. Will Claire eventually do the right thing and say, "I'm your teacher and this is wrong?" What do you think? Would Mr. Skin even give this thing a second glance if that were where this was headed? The show got off to a slow start in terms of skin, though Kate Mara did give us a flash of ass while getting banged from behind by her husband in the debut episode! We're hoping that Kate makes some time to give her student—and us—a lesson in anatomy sometime soon!
